ImagineSolar’s mission is to empower people and organizations in the planning, designing, installation, commissioning, maintenance, business, and technical sales of solar PV systems in order to accelerate the transformation of the energy industry to a non-carbon-emitting solar and smart grid future.
Since our founding in 2002, we have provided high-quality, up-to-date solar training and advisory services to companies and the general public both union and non-union across the USA and internationally. In addition, we have experience designing, installing, and inspecting solar projects.
The Austin Electrical JATC and ImagineSolar entered into a solar training partnership in 2010 that was approved and audited by the U.S. Department of Labor. Our classroom and solar lab are located in the AEJATC building located at 4000 Caven Rd., Austin, TX 78744. The building is fully ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant and conforms to all required fire, first aid, and life safety codes and practices. Free broadband Internet access is provided throughout the building. Parking is plentiful and does not require permit fees.
The AEJATC is offering summer tuition scholarships through ImagineSolar for apprentices and CWCE’s currently enrolled in the school. This scholarship will allow you to study solar photovoltaic system design and installation. Click here to request further information.
All of our solar training is designed per NABCEP job task analyses and per IREC ISPQ credentialing standards. We offer a blended learning approach that combines onsite hands-on training in our solar lab facility with classroom instruction, online courses and live streaming online lectures.
Our consultants, instructors, and lecturers have obtained one or more NABCEP certifications and have decades of combined experience as solar industry practitioners. Our solar lab facility and classroom are co-located with the Austin Electrical JATC in Austin, Texas.
