This course combines the flexibility of an online course with the live instructor-led interaction of Online LIVE Topic Sessions. The online approach allows for anytime anywhere access and self-paced schedules. The special schedule of Online LIVE Topic Sessions gives participants time with instructors to ask questions, work problems, and go over course material.

Participants earn 60 Advanced training hours. This course satisfies the advanced training application requirements for NABCEP’s PV Installation Professional certification exam.     Who is this class for?

    This course focuses on advanced PV system design and problem-solving expertise. There is a strong emphasis on the US National Electric Code applications that are needed to successfully pass the NABCEP PV Installation Professional certification exam. Participants work through PV system designs – with considerations for location, technology, and conditions of use. In addition to design considerations, this advanced online course covers emerging PV technologies and considerations for utility scale and large commercial PV systems.

    This course is appropriate for anyone who wants to gain expertise in designing PV systems. It is targeted to engineers, electricians, entrepreneurs, and all others who intend to become professionals in the solar industry. If you do not have experience with PV systems, recommended prerequisites would be either our Online: Foundations of Solar PV Design & Installation  course or the Advanced PV Project Experience.

    You access our elearning campus from a web browser on your PC/tablet/notepad. Windows and Apple devices are both supported.
