Our advanced PV330 workshop is the first in the nation to pilot NABCEP’s Alternative Installation Experience Pathway for electricians for their Certified PV Installer Exam. In September 2010, IREC praised ImagineSolar for their cutting-edge PV330 course that satisfies NABCEP’s Alternative Installation Pathway requirements.
This workshop consists of student-led design and installation of two grid-tied solar PV systems complete with the safety planning, site assessment, project planning, utility interconnection and net metering agreements, permitting, inspection, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting. This 40-hour workshop includes classroom time as well as installation time.
Our PV330 alumni have a significantly higher pass rate on the NABCEP Certified PV Installer Exam than others who sat for the exam in Texas.
Hands-on labs include the following:
- Two fully commissioned and inspected grid-tied PV systems.
Prerequisites:
You must have successfully completed our PV100 Series (PV201e) or PV400 courses, plus PV320 and PV321 before participating in PV330. Combined, these workshops are designed to meet the NABCEP Alternative Experience Journeyman Electrician Pathway to sit for the professional level NABCEP Certified PV Installer exam.
