Tom Norrell, Your Master Electrician & Your Solar Solutions – A 22 year Master Electrician, Tom gave his home a green makeover and decided to pursue it as a career. Impressed by ImagineSolar CEO Michael Kuhn’s work in establishing solar in Central Texas, Tom trained with us and is now transforming lives as a successful solar contractor.
Jason Shaw, President at Blue Paw Energy Service – Jason is a Texas Journeyman Electrician and President at RESA (Renewable Energy Student Association) at ACC. He took many ImagineSolar courses and went on to become the nation’s first deaf NABCEP-Certified Solar PV Installer!
Allen Hoover, NRG411 – Allen is the CEO of a solar installation company based out of Wichita Falls and San Antonio, Texas. Since starting NRG411 in 2010, Allen and his partner have completed over 20 solar PV installations totaling over 180,000 watts!
Melissa Caldwell, Aspenmark Roofing & Solar - Melissa works in North Texas and has been living off-grid for the past 9 years. She came to ImagineSolar to learn about grid-tied systems for her career and loved her experience with our instructors!
Jim Bartlett and Tim Meisinger, Arise Energy Solution – Jim and Tim were both looking at ways to get into the renewable energy field for years and saw a golden opportunity in to train with ImagineSolar. They founded their company, Arise Energy Solutions, in early 2010.
Alternative Experience Pathway Alumni - 8 electricians passed the NABCEP Certified PV Installer exam after completing our rigorous PV330: Alternative Experience Pathway (AEP) course. We are very proud of them!
Tim Bugh, Certified Energy Manager – Tim consults with U.S. Air Force bases in Europe (USAFE) to define energy-efficiency projects that will reduce their energy usage. Tim was co-designer of a $4.5 million (950 kW) project installed across 7 buildings. He credits our PV201: PV Design & Installation workshop with being a “catalyst into my career”.
Brad Newcomb, Tesla Electric – Brad is a Certified NABCEP Solar PV Installer and a Master Electrician for 13 years.
Rudy Maio – Rudy is from El Paso, Texas, and has been doing electrical work for over 30 years. Rudy now owns an electrical contracting business.
Joel Starling, Solar Power Technologies – Joel is a mechanical engineer who leveraged what he learned in our PV201 course to move into the solar industry after a long career in medical device development and aerospace technology.
Sally Stafford, Solar Community – Sally is the office manager for Solar Community, a Texas-based solar installation company, where she assists with bids, energy rebates, recruiting, inspections, permitting, accounting, safety, building services, and other responsibilities.
Dan Dyer, Successful Solar Installer – Based in Tennessee, Dan completed PV201 and PV320 to prepare to sit for the NABCEP PV Installer Certification Exam.
International Alumni
Jude Pasasadaba and Dio Baroga - Natives from the Philippines, Jude trained with ImagineSolar so he could bring solar PV technology back to his island where they are without full electricity access. After Jude told Dio about ImagineSolar, Dio switched from his pursuit of engineering to train with us in renewable energy.
David C. Agbakoba, Solar Jooce – David is focusing its efforts in Nigeria to distribute solar-powered lighting systems in rural communities who have little or no access to power.
Joe Hawi, Nova Energia – Joe Hawi is our youngest success story and joins us from Lebanon where he is a second-year engineering student at Notre Dame University Lebanon.
