Nora Ureste, ImagineSolar Director of Marketing and Sales, took a sabbatical from ImagineSolar to participate in the City Tour for Solar.   The tour visited over 50 cities nationwide from August 1 through November 14.

Says Nora, “The City Tour for Solar was an educational campaign for Solar Energy that was launched by SunEdison, North America’s largest solar services provider, along with others in the solar industry.  I was hired to lead a group traveling to over 30 cites and we served to educate communities about Solar energy.  Also, each community was able to advocate for better policies around solar energy as an email could be sent on their behalf to their local policy makers from our exhibit.  What an adventure of a lifetime!  Living and breathing solar for 4 months as my team and I travelled through Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, and ended the tour with a celebration in Sacramento, CA – what a blast!  We spoke with and educated hundreds of people in parks, festivals, town squares, schools, …we even hit the Democratic National Convention.  I was so proud to be part of such a progressive campaign.  Go Solar!”
